Musical Explorers

Musical Explorers is a semester-long, curriculum-based program for grades K-2 that focuses on three local ensembles, each representing a musical style and cultural community. Developed in partnership with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, the program builds basic music skills as students learn songs from different cultures and reflect on their own communities.

Musical Explorers is a free program open to K-2 classroom teachers and elementary music teachers.

HOW IT WORKS

• Register your classroom to participate. Registration will open on Wednesday, October 4, 2023

• Teachers receive printed curriculum guides with lesson plans, a CD and other resources that connect with select state standards.
  

• View the professional development webinar to learn about incorporating the Musical Explorers curriculum in your classroom. This year's webinar will be available to watch on demand starting  Thursday, February 1, 2024.  
  
  
• Integrate Musical Explorers lessons in your classroom at your own pace.
  
  
• Attend the year-end concert at the Holland Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, May 7, 2024!
