Jazz on the Green at Midtown Crossing is a time for fun, funky, fresh (and FREE) entertainment for the whole community. We love that this annual summer series allows us to present some amazing artists to Omaha in a way that is exciting for the whole family!
In order to make your experience the best it can be, we’ve compiled some tips just for you.
Come prepared
Don’t forget to pack your sunblock, coolers, blankets, chairs and towels! Bring whatever necessities you may need—or whatever you may want that will make your time at JOTG one to remember. We’ve seen some pretty legit set-ups in the past, so don’t hold back!
Arrive early
You won’t want to miss out on some preshow jams from student groups and combo bands. Plus, all the best seats go quickly. The park opens at 5 for seating, and the preshow entertainment starts at 6:30, so schedule accordingly.
Get ready to have some fun
Whether you’re kicking it in your dancing shoes, visiting area vendors or basking in the music, tonight will be a hit for the whole family! Be sure to visit the Omaha Performing Arts booth for free swag, information about our shows and a chance to win tickets!
Park for free
For Jazz on the Green only, Midtown Crossing’s two parking garages are free from 5-11 PM. We want your evening to be as hassle-free as possible, so your car’s got it made in the shade.
Know the lay of the land
We don’t have too many rules, but keep in mind the following: blankets and chairs are welcome. Beer, wine and champagne are allowed in Turner Park, but please don’t bring hard liquor. Please keep all pets on a leash and remember to clean up after them. No smoking.
